Happy Halloween Everyone!

It's been a nice cool day here and both kids napped, so that was especially nice. I had a little autumnal cooking buzz going on earlier. I made Pumpkin Cinnamon Chip Muffins, Spiced Cider, Potato Soup for lunch, and a Squash stew is in the crock pot for dinner.

We plan on eating dinner early and making it over to the grandparents block for trick-or-treating around 7 or 7:30. Then visiting with the families and playing til late, since again, both kids napped!!!!!

I would like to maybe stay up til 12, myself, and welcome all souls day with a cup of tea, but I don't know if I will make it.

Random note::: I have not bitten my nails in a week or so, and I actually have nails to paint! I will paint the blood red for the night, it'll go nicely with the whole tavern wench costume I have going on. My daughter still wants me to be a tree. sigh.

Have a blessed day all, and remember those who have passed before you.

1st post

Well, I am going to try again at this whole blogging thing. One would think that with as talkative as I am, this would be much easier to keep up with. Not so much, my friend.

It finally feels like fall around here. Addison (daughter) and I set up our seasonal altar with gourds and leaves and candles, and we may go for a walk to find acorns later. I wanted to do it earlier, but this cold night and chilly day really got me going. Nothing like Texas highs in the 90's to put off the whole Samhain/Harvest spirit!

I have to go exercise later! I have rededicated myself to 5 days a week, 1 hr each day. When I do that, I can drink my dark beer, and eat all the yummy whole organic food I want! So as soon as Riley (son) wakes from his nap, it's off to my Mamas house and use her treadmill. Or, sigh, I *could*get off my tush right now and use hubby's weights out in the garage and then go for a bike ride later when he gets home. Hmmm.

I also should really go make something out of the lovely organic pumpkin puree that I made a few days ago. Yummmmmmmm........ Maybe pumpkin muffins or bread. I swear I am such a food whore. My (slightly belated) bridal shower was on Saturday, and nearly all the gifts were kitchen related. Someone asked me oh so sweetly, "Do you like to cook?" Those who know and love me rolled their eyes a bit I am sure.

Well, I just talked to hubby and he will watch the kiddos whilst I ride my bike later so I need to go lift some weights! Soon I shall be strong and musclely~!
